Thanksgiving/Christmas & all the rest

Since it has been awhile since I last updated our blog, I feel like I have a lot to say. Kent and I spent Thanksgiving in Dallas, TX with Kent's family. It was fun to see people that we haven't seen in quite awhile. Plus, it was nice to be in the beautiful weather and enjoy being outside. We enjoyed the weekend relaxing watching football, sitting out on the swing by the pool, and playing the piano. It has been awhile since we have played a real piano, so we definately enjoyed hearing the sound of a good piano. We were also able to catch up with family and hear what has been going on in their lives. We were able to go out to dinner with all the cousins on Friday evening. On Saturday, we then got back on the plane and came back to Chicago.

The following weekend, we went and bought our Christmas tree. It's hard to believe that Christmas is just around the corner. With our tree up and gifts bought, it seems more like Christmas-time. The malls are packed with shoppers, stressed as they try to find that toy that their child just has to have, and others who are just enjoying the holiday music around them. We have a busy month of December, but are looking forward to being with family at Christmas. Kent played the drums in the church Christmas performance this weekend, so he was busy this week with rehearsals and performances. This coming weekend, we start the Christmas celebrations with the Hunt Family Christmas and on Sunday, we're headed to the Illini Basketball game with my parents. Looking ahead, the next weekend is then Christmas. Wow! How the time flies. My good friend, Rachel, from high school will be coming home for a few weeks from Japan at the end of December. I am looking forward to being able to see her. Before she flies back to Japan, she'll be staying with us for a night, so I'm sure we will be up late, talking and catching-up with one another.

We had our second ultrasound last Monday and learned that our due date will most likely be changing to April 9th. Everything looks good with the baby, and the measurements matched those of my previous ultrasound. I have my next doctor's appointment on the 18th, so we will find out for sure then, but everything points in the direction of changing my due date to the 9th. Hopefully that is more accurate, and I won't be 2 weeks later than the 9th of April. :) We were able to tell that the baby was definately bigger than our previous ultrasound, so it was fun to be able to see more within the images. No, we still didn't find out what gender the baby is!

We also went this past weekend to look at houses in the area. After talking with many friends from church and others in the area, we've decided that we want to look for something in Berwyn. We looked at about 6-7 different properties this past weekend and really like one in particular. We are praying for God's guidance in our decisions and are putting together an offer with a few contingencies. We will have to keep you updated on what is going on with the house. If it isn't supposed to be the house God wants us to be in, we don't want it, but we do really like it and it seems like a great deal!

I think that sums up the last few weeks of our lives. I'll post pictures as well so you can see our Christmas tree and other key events from the past few weeks.

If I don't post before Christmas....MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!! Have a wonderful holiday season and enjoy spending time with those that mean the most to you.
